Open Burning Restrictions
ALL BURNING IS CLOSED
The Marion County Fire Defense Board has issued a BURN BAN which is effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice. Burning Restrictions include:
No Backyard Burning
No Agricultural Burning
No Recreational or fire pit burning (Includes Cooking and Religious Fires)
No Charcoal Cooking Fires or BBQ's
Hot works including grinding, welding and cutting should be avoided
Propane BBQ's allowed with extreme caution
Fire Service Personnel have the right to order any fire or outdoor cooking to be ceased and extinguished at their discretion.

Open Burning is regulated by the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and the Department of Agriculture.

Open Burning season is between the following dates:
SPRING - March 1 through June 15
FALL - October 15 through December 15
CHECK THE BURN INFO DAILY
BURNING MAY NOT BE ALLOWED ON CERTAIN DAYS
MARION & CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR.
The Marion & Clackamas County Fire Defense Boards has issued County wide burn bans for Marion, Clackamas and Linn Counties EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY until further notice. The burn ban includes agricultural and back yard burning. Camp fires, fire pits, and yard debris burning is also banned.
To report violations of persons burning please contact the Aurora Fire District at (503) 678-5966. If there is no answer you can report persons burning to our Dispatch Center (METCOM) at (503) 982-2340.
We will update the public when the burn ban has been lifted.
